'in Nijerya'yı 2-1 mağlup ederek 2018 Dünya Kupası'nda adını ikinci tura yazdırdığı maçın sonunda fenalaşan Diego Armando Maradona, sosyal medya üzerinden gönderdiği mesajla durumunun iyi olduğunu söyledi.

Instagram hesabından bir paylaşımda bulunan Maradona, hastaneye kaldırıldığı yönündeki haberlerin gerçeği yansıtmadığını belirterek, "Herkese iyi olduğumu ve hastaneye kaldırılmadığımı söylemek isterim. Nijerya maçının devre arasında boynuma şiddetli bir ağrı saplandı. Bir doktor durumumu kontrol etti ve bana ikinci devre başlamadan eve dönmemi tavsiye etti. Fakat ben kalmayı tercih ettim, çünkü maç hâlâ ortadaydı. O anda orayı nasıl terk edebilirdim?" dedi.
